उन्होंने कहा कि "चीन और पाकिस्तान दोनों अलग-अलग देश हैं। उनके साथ रिश्ते भी कुछ अलग हैं , वहां समस्याएं भी कुछ अलग है। चीन के साथ सीमा से जुड़े कुछ मुद्दे बचे हुए हैं। कोशिश करेंगे की उनको कैसे निपटाया जाए। पाकिस्तान के साथ सालों से सीमा पार आतंकवाद से जुड़े कुछ मुद्दे हैं। देखते हैं हम इसका समाधान कैसे कर पाते हैं।"
